The Media Center is designed as a hub of active learning.  Not only do we provide resources to students and teachers, we also offer lessons on information literacy. Story time is a very integral part of our program.  In a comfortable setting with carpet and plush animals, children enjoy new and old favorites and can use their imaginations to discover new worlds, laugh at word play, and enjoy silly illustrations. 

The Center houses over 17,000 volumes, over 1,000 videos and numerous periodicals.  We have access to databases and websites previewed by educators.  We maintain the Accelerated Reader database and continually update the books and tests available to students.  Our environment is well lit and inviting. We have a large tree house and a tent for quiet reading as well as tables and chairs for individual and group use.

We sponsor the 3rd and 5th grade book clubs and invite 5th graders to work in the library in the mornings.  Many volunteers, parents, teachers and students help to maintain the beauty, integrity and functionality of the Media Center.  We hope you will enjoy all we have to offer to enrich your child's education at Creek View Elementary School.
